Question 1

What is a rotating-partner round robin?

Accepted Answer

Everyone plays with a different partner each round and is ranked on their own results. It is the usual format for club social nights, open play and mixers.

Question 2

How are partners and byes chosen?

Accepted Answer

Each round keeps the line-up with the fewest repeat partners, then the fewest repeat opponents. Players with the fewest byes so far sit out next. With 8 players over 7 rounds, everyone partners with everyone else exactly once.

Question 3

How are standings ranked?

Accepted Answer

By games won, then point difference, then total points scored.

Question 4

Can I use fixed teams?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose Fixed teams and list players in partner order. Every team plays every other team once.

Question 5

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with no sign-up and no limits.
